Have you had your free Vessel Safety Check ?  if not, contact the USCG Auxiliary or the United States Power Squadrons. There are four serving the Fort Myers area. These are the Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Sanibel Captiva and San Carlos Bay ( serving So. Fort Myers and the beach) squadrons.

These inspections are free and no law enforecment agencies are notified if you fail the safety check. A boat passing inspection will receive a decal with both the USPS and USCGAUX insignias.

If you think your boat is OK, when is the last time you took the time to inspect all the items required . Let an autorized inspector do iton your boat and be sure you and your passengers are safe on the water.
